Upper Bounce Trampoline
Upper Bounce is a major player in the world of trampolines and thrives on meeting and exceeding the quality that its peers offer. They are extremely careful about the durability of their products and use high-quality materials with each of their trampolines.
One thing I love about this brand is its dedication to the safety and satisfaction of the customers. These trampolines are built strong and designed to last, making them a great choice for anyone looking to get one for their backyard. Here are some of the main features of Upper Bounce Trampolines.
Features of Upper Bounce Trampoline:
1. Raw Materials
Upper Bounce Trampolines use high-quality materials to manufacture their trampolines, assuring the users of proper safety and durability. I have never really seen anyone say bad things about the brand, at least when it comes to build quality.
If you are getting an Upper Bounce Trampoline, it should last you for years without issues.
2. Weight limit
The brand offers you a wide range of trampolines in different sizes to choose from. And naturally, the weight capacity of the trampoline will depend on which one you get.
Most of the Upper Bounce trampolines are designed to hold at least two adults. So, you can guess that the weight capacity of these trampolines is pretty decent. In fact, a typical Upper Bounce trampoline is designed to hold greater weight compared to its competitors in the market.
3. Safety Net
You always get a safety enclosure net when you buy a new Upper Bounce trampoline. And as far as I checked, the quality of the net is also quite decent. It is firm and can rebound you back onto the jumping mat if you happen to lose balance while using the trampoline.
However, the net clips are not as firm as I would like. Sure, if you tighten it from time to time, you should be fine. But considering how much you had to spend for an Upper Bounce trampoline, this is definitely a bit disappointing. Of course, you can swap out the net clips if it annoys you too much.
Assembling an Upper Bounce trampoline takes a fair bit of effort. However, it is not because the process is complicated but rather because the instruction is often unclear. It is still easier to set up compared to Skywalker trampolines if you know what you are doing.
As long as you have worked on trampolines before, you should be able to set it up on your own. The parts are all there; you just have to know what goes where. You should be able to find proper instructions by searching forums or online videos if the manual is giving you too much trouble.
Upper Bounce trampolines are meant to last. This is a brand that never compromises on the quality of materials that they use to make their trampolines. Each Upper Bounce trampoline is tested for durability and designed to last year after year without complaints.
In fact, if you maintain your trampoline well, it can survive up to 10 years which is saying a lot considering how much abuse a trampoline has to take. Durability is one thing that you should not have to worry about with an Upper Bounce trampoline.
6. Price And Warranty
Let me say this right now – Upper Bounce trampolines are expensive. But I do not mean that it is not worth the money. The quality that you will get with an Upper Bounce trampoline is hard to find elsewhere. It boasts greater weight capacity, easy installation, and excellent jumping performance.
Most Upper Bounce trampolines also come with a warranty of 1 year for the jumping mat and other metal parts, which should give you an idea of how well they are made. So, even though the price is a bit higher, you will get your money’s worth with Upper Bounce.
My Recommendation: Upper Bounce Rectangle Trampoline Set with Premium Top-Ring Enclosure System
Performance is almost always a given with Upper Bounce trampolines. This might be a good thing for the user, but it makes my job of picking out one trampoline to recommend to you a lot harder. In the end, I decided to go with a trampoline that I have used extensively myself, the Upper Bounce Rectangle Trampoline.
This trampoline is available in three different sizes. Personally, I went with the 15 feet model as it was small enough to fit in my backyard. For a smaller yard, you could go with the 14 feet option. However, if space is not an issue, the 17 feet model is a great investment too.
The only differences between the three sizes are their price, the number of legs, and the number of springs. Regardless of the size, you end up going with; the manufacturers recommend a maximum weight limit of 500 pounds. This means two or even three adults should be able to jump on the trampoline at a time without any safety risks.
We all want our trampoline to survive the test of time, right? Well, with the heavy-duty, powder-coated frame of this trampoline, you should have no reason to doubt its durability. It will survive all weather conditions with a smile, and you will never have to worry about rust creeping up on the frame.
In addition, the jumping pad features a premium PP mesh construction that feels great and produces excellent bounce. It has a Top Flex Pole Enclosure System that keeps the safety netting tightly pulled to protect against awkward falls, and the springs are hidden under cover to prevent any major accidents.
The poles of the trampoline are covered with safety pads that further protect against bumps and collisions. Its no-gap enclosure system is another safety feature that I should mention, along with a dual zipper closure system on the netting to prevent anyone from falling off the trampoline while jumping.
Sure, the price tag of 1000 to 1200 dollars can be a bit much for a lot of people. But if you want a trampoline that will survive any abuse you throw at it, this is your best bet.
When you are shopping for safe and durable trampolines, Skywalker is another brand name that often comes up. They started out with an ambitious vision to reintroduce trampolines to general consumers. And these days, they are dedicated to producing better and safer recreational trampolines at an affordable price.
In fact, Skywalker is one of the first brands out there that included enclosure nets with their trampolines. They also use T-sockets in the connection points of their trampolines to stabilize the poles for a safer experience. Here are some of the features of Skywalker trampolines that you should know about.
Features of Upper Bounce Trampoline:
1. Raw Materials
Skywalker, similar to Upper Bounce, is a well-known trampoline manufacturer that takes pride in its works. So, you can safely bet that the quality of materials that they use is top-notch.
Most Skywalker trampolines come with steel frames that last a good long while. In addition, the rest of the components, such as the springs, the jumping mat, etc., are all made well and offer excellent performance.
2. Weight Limit
Skywalker trampolines are not usually known for their greater weight capacity. In fact, most of the models out there have a low weight capacity of only 170 to 250 pounds which makes it decent for one or two kids but practically unusable for adults.
There are, of course, a few odd ducks out there. For example, the 17 feet rectangular Skywalker trampoline can handle up to 350 pounds. But even that has a lower capacity compared to most of the Upper Bounce trampolines out there, making Skywalker a subpar choice if you are getting it for a large family.
3. Safety Net
Similar to Upper Bounce trampolines, most Skywalker trampolines give you an enclosure net that you can set up around your trampoline. And the quality of the netting, as far as I am concerned, is quite decent. It feels firm and can hold up against you bumping into it.
In addition, you also get ladders and spring covers, both of which play a role in dictating the overall safety of the trampoline. The netting in Skywalker Trampolines is also UV-resistant and can survive extreme conditions such as rain or snowfall.
When it comes to ease of assembly, Skywalker might not be the best brand to go with out there. Sure, you get an instruction manual with your purchase, but the instructions often seem unclear and unnecessarily complicated, making it quite challenging to set it up.
In most cases, setting up a Skywalker trampoline requires additional help. Because of how many parts it comes with, setting one up can take up to three hours. And to tell the truth, I would not want to tinker around with tools for that long if I just bought a new trampoline.
A typical Skywalker trampoline is expected to last up to six years as long as you maintain it from time to time. And since these trampolines come with galvanized steel frames, you can leave trampolines out in the rain or snow without worrying about any rust.
The quality of the springs is also pretty decent, and in most cases, they are covered. This means you won’t have to worry about the kids getting their limbs caught between the springs too.
6. Price And Warranty
Skywalker trampolines are not as expensive as Upper Bounce trampolines, but still, they cost a fair bit. However, their price also comes with a promise of quality. The main advantages of these trampolines are their durability, safety, and portability.
Sure, the assembly may take a bit of time to get through if you are going with Skywalker trampolines, but once you are done, you will not have to take it apart anytime soon. With these trampolines, you typically get a one-year warranty from your date of purchase.
My Recommendation: Skywalker Trampolines – Rectangle Jump-N-Dunk Trampoline with Enclosure
As for Skywalker trampolines, I would be amiss if I did not recommend the infamous Jump-N-Dunk. It is a wonderful trampoline featuring a built-in basketball hoop to make your kids truly ecstatic. As a bonus, it is also priced pretty reasonably, making it an all-around great choice for just about anyone.
Let’s take a look at what makes this trampoline so great.
First off, it is a rectangular trampoline that is available in two different sizes. The 15 feet model has a maximum weight capacity of 250 pounds, while the slightly smaller 14 feet model caps out at 200 pounds of maximum weight. Naturally, the 14 feet model is a bit cheaper of the two options.
If you were buying it for one kid, you could go with the smaller option, which will let you save a few bucks. However, for two kids, you cannot go wrong with the 15 feet option.
What I love most about the trampoline is its galvanized steel frame that is tested against weather and rust. It also comes with the Skywalker T-socket connection, which improves frame strength and makes it more stable when you are jumping on the trampoline.
This trampoline comes with a polypropylene jumping mat along with a polyethylene net to protect your kids as they are jumping inside it. Its UV-resistant, vinyl-coated spring pad, along with superior springs, further enhances its performance and safety.
Furthermore, the trampoline features a no-gap enclosure system to eliminate any gaps between the enclosure and the mat. And, of course, the inclusion of a basketball hoop gives your children something extra to do apart from jumping around aimlessly. For a price tag of under 650 dollars, this is an absolute bargain.
Which is Best Among Upper Bounce and Skywalker?
As you can see, there are ups and downs to both brands. For example, Skywalker trampolines are not very easy to set up, but they are lightweight and portable. On the other hand, while you may be able to get started with your Upper Bounce trampoline faster, it is bulky and requires disassembly before you think to move it.
If you ask me, both of these brands are great choices if you are planning to buy a new trampoline. But you need to think about your requirements first. So if you are buying it for one or two kids to jump on, then Skywalker is a great choice. Since it is affordable, you will be able to save up a few bucks.
However, for adults or a large group, Upper Bounce is the way to go. It boasts a greater weight limit which means it will be able to handle two adults jumping on it at the same time effortlessly. Sure, you will have to spend a few extra dollars, but it will be well worth the investment.
I hope my comprehensive look into the differences between Upper Bounce and Skywalker trampolines could help you figure out which brand would be the better choice for you. Good luck!
